Kacey Musgraves • October 23, 2026 • Updated October 21, 2026
Kacey Musgraves brings the Middle of Nowhere tour to Oakland Arena on Friday, October 23, 2026, featuring Estevie. Doors are listed at 6:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. event start. Our forecast puts the new-album songs alongside “High Horse,” “Slow Burn” and “Follow Your Arrow”—a night to lean into the country storytelling as much as the disco sparkle.
Schedule: official venue event page.
Our outfit pick
Raised-Arms Disco Cowgirl Washed Tee
The washed-black tee brings the tour’s playful disco-cowgirl mood into a simple outfit. The raised-arms artwork and glowing Kacey lettering stand out against dark denim; add one silver accessory and keep the shoes practical for the BART walk.

Our Oakland listening pick: “Merry Go ’Round”
The temptation is to prepare only for the glittering songs. Put “Merry Go ’Round” beside “High Horse” in your playlist instead: the contrast tells you why this show works as more than a party. One watches small-town patterns closely; the other cuts loose. Let the change in pace be part of what you listen for.
“Golden Hour” and “Slow Burn” are the tracks we’d save for a quieter stretch of the journey in. You don’t need to learn the whole catalogue before Friday. Knowing a few musical landmarks makes the newer songs easier to place without turning the performance into a checklist.
Before you go: a Friday plan around Coliseum BART
The venue event listing gives 6:30 p.m. doors and a 7:30 p.m. event start. Plan to see Estevie as part of the evening; those times are not a separate announcement of Kacey’s exact stage entrance. Finish dinner early enough to leave a buffer for the approach and screening.
Save the walk after the train
The arena’s A–Z guide identifies Coliseum BART on the east side of the complex, connected by a pedestrian overpass. Save the station and the arena entrance in your route, then check the return service for your actual destination before leaving home.
If you’re transferring after BART, check that final connection too. Choose a fallback ride with your group and a named meeting point for the exit. It is easier to make those decisions before the first song than while several phones are competing for attention after the encore.
Driving? Separate parking from your arrival time
The event page links event parking. Save the reservation and lot entrance before setting off, and allow time between parking and entry. A 6:30 p.m. door time is not a sensible target for reaching the end of a traffic queue. For friends arriving separately, meet after parking rather than trying to coordinate cars in motion.
Pack small: there is no event bag check
The arena guide says bags larger than 14 × 14 × 6 inches and backpacks of any size are not allowed; bag check is unavailable. Check the final event email for show-specific instructions. Choose your concert bag before the day, especially if you are coming directly from work.
Keep the outfit light enough to manage indoors and warm enough for the walk afterward. The tee supplies the statement; a plain outer layer is easier to carry than an elaborate costume. Have tickets, ID and payment ready, with phone battery reserved for the journey home.
✓ Before you leave
Our Friday formula is simple: a checked BART route, dinner before the final approach and time to enjoy the supporting act. Then give the new songs your attention and let the familiar ones arrive as the payoff.
