Metallica Sphere October 29, 2026: Thursday Setlist Prediction & Guide

Metallica lightning emblem with Sphere Las Vegas October 29, 2026 show guide title

October 29, 2026 is a Thursday Metallica night at Sphere, and that distinction changes the forecast. Recent Thursdays have opened with “Battery” and ended with “Master of Puppets,” with “…And Justice for All” and “Nothing Else Matters” in between. If you are attending one show, use the Thursday pattern rather than a generic M72 greatest-hits list.

The Life Burns Faster residency splits each paired weekend into two different sets. This is the opening half of the October 29–31 pairing, so it also shapes what Saturday’s audience will hear.

The predicted October 29 running order

The October 8 and October 15 official setlists are the useful comparison. They share a strong opening and closing structure, while the ballad and instrumental choices have moved. This projection starts with October 15’s order.

  1. Battery
  2. Creeping Death
  3. Now That We’re Dead
  4. Sad but True
  5. The Shortest Straw
  6. Wherever I May Roam
  7. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
  8. …And Justice for All
  9. Kirk & Rob duet — rotating selection
  10. Nothing Else Matters
  11. The Call of Ktulu
  12. Lux Æterna
  13. Ride the Lightning
  14. The Memory Remains
  15. Seek & Destroy
  16. Master of Puppets

Why Thursday is more than the warm-up night

“Battery” into “Creeping Death” is a demanding opening pairing, and “The Shortest Straw” keeps the first section from becoming an obvious greatest-hits shuffle. The residency also gives “…And Justice for All” a prominent place. For someone arriving with only the biggest singles in mind, that is the song to revisit before the trip.

Slot seven is the main question. Earlier Thursdays have featured “The Day That Never Comes,” “Fade to Black” and “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” in that position. The last of those is the pick above because it appeared on October 15, but all three belong in a sensible pre-show listening queue. Likewise, “Orion” and “The Call of Ktulu” have traded instrumental duties across the paired nights.

The final sequence is a stronger guide: “Ride the Lightning,” “The Memory Remains,” “Seek & Destroy,” then “Master of Puppets.” Saturday’s familiar “Enter Sandman” finish should not simply be pasted onto this Thursday forecast. No Repeat Weekend means the two shows are designed to complement each other.

Before you go: Thursday arrival and a Friday option

Plan dinner around your ticket’s showtime and the venue’s stated 90-minute door window. Check the date as well as the section when opening your ticket, particularly if your account holds both Thursday and Saturday admission.

Travel light and save the ticket to your wallet

Sphere is at 255 Sands Avenue. Its official visitor FAQ describes a no-bag policy with a small-bag exception of approximately 6 × 6 × 2 inches; medical and diaper-bag exceptions are handled separately. There is no bag or coat check and no re-entry. Leave shopping bags at your hotel before joining the entry line.

Download your mobile ticket in advance and use the entrance shown on it. Sphere is cashless. The FAQ identifies the rideshare pickup and drop-off area at Manhattan Street and Westchester Drive; agree on that meeting point before the post-show crowd disperses. Give yourself time to walk, rather than using a map’s driving arrival estimate as your seat time.

Staying for both shows? Leave Friday some breathing room

The band’s October 29 activity page lists Black Box Friday on October 30, 2–8 p.m., at The Stadium at The Palazzo. It offers memorabilia and interactive exhibits between the concert nights. Check that page for any further access details before building a fixed itinerary around it.

The separate Life Burns Faster Experience is at the Venetian’s Summit Showroom near the bridge to Sphere. Thursday hours extend from 10 a.m. until after the show; Friday hours are 10 a.m.–8 p.m. If shopping is part of the trip, using the off-day avoids carrying purchases into a venue without bag storage.

Two residency shirts, two different finishes

The Fire Monster tour-date designs below cover the wider Sphere residency. They are a better fit for this guide than a shirt specifically printed for October 22–24. Choose the regular two-sided tee for a clean cotton option, or the acid-washed version if you prefer a faded finish. Neither is presented as an October 29-only release.

Use 10CODE for 10% off. These are custom Merch Report designs, separate from the official venue merchandise. Check the front and back artwork and size chart on the product page. Dispatch is listed at 7–10 business days before delivery, so order for the collection rather than assuming arrival before the show. For a multi-item order, review available promotions at checkout; other coupons may not stack with 10CODE.

Attending the second half? Read the October 31 Saturday prediction and Halloween guide. Checked October 23, 2026. This is a pre-show forecast.
