October 23, 2026 · Flensburg · Updated October 20
Bob Dylan plays GGW Arena in Flensburg on Friday, October 23, with doors at 18:30 and the show at 20:00. Expect a set that moves between sharp-edged recent songs and older favorites: the latest European shows have put “Tangled Up in Blue,” “Man in the Long Black Coat” and “I Shall Be Released” back at the heart of the evening.
The interesting question for Flensburg is what survives the journey south from Scandinavia. Oslo introduced two striking covers; Gothenburg followed with an 18-song sequence and a different ending. Here is our predicted setlist, what to listen for, and a practical route from your front door to your seat.

Our predicted Flensburg setlist
Our starting point is Dylan’s official Gothenburg setlist from October 19, the latest completed show as this guide goes live. The sequence below is our forecast for Flensburg.
- To Be Alone with You
- Man in the Long Black Coat
- It Ain’t Me, Babe
- Tryin’ to Get to Heaven
- False Prophet
- I Can Tell
- Black Rider
- Tangled Up in Blue
- When I Paint My Masterpiece
- Girl from the North Country
- Crossing the Rubicon
- Soon After Midnight
- Spirit on the Water
- Under the Red Sky
- I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You
- Goodbye Jimmy Reed
- I Shall Be Released
- Every Grain of Sand
The opening pair is the first thing to listen for
“To Be Alone with You” followed by “Man in the Long Black Coat” opened both Oslo and Gothenburg. That pairing makes an appealing way into this run: a direct invitation first, then a turn toward something darker. In Flensburg, listen for the change in atmosphere between them rather than waiting only for the biggest familiar title.
The middle of the show is where the possibilities open up
The most revealing comparison is between the songs surrounding “When I Paint My Masterpiece.” Gothenburg placed “Tangled Up in Blue” before it and “Girl from the North Country” afterward. Oslo took a more circuitous route, including “Louisiana 1927” and “I’ll Make It All Up to You.” Those choices make the middle stretch worth your full attention.
Dylan’s official Oslo report identifies Randy Newman’s “Louisiana 1927” and Guy Clark’s “Dublin Blues” as debut performances. They are the two covers to have in mind before Flensburg, even though neither returned in Gothenburg. A short pre-show listening session with those songs is more useful than assuming every night will repeat the same surprises.
Stay with the ending
“I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You,” “Goodbye Jimmy Reed” and “I Shall Be Released” appeared late at both shows. The final song changed: Oslo finished with “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” while Gothenburg closed with “Every Grain of Sand.” We favor the Gothenburg ending for this prediction. Resist the temptation to treat the late-show sequence as your cue to start the journey home.
Getting to GGW Arena without rushing the opening
Use Campusallee 2, 24943 Flensburg as your destination. The arena’s official travel information lists buses 4 and 5 to Campusbad. Check your particular departure and return services with Aktiv Bus before setting off.
Taking the bus
Choose a service that leaves a comfortable margin before 20:00. Use the 18:30 door opening as an opportunity to handle entry and find your seat at an easy pace. Write down your return stop and departure options before your phone is put away.
Driving to the campus
The venue lists free P1–P3 parking via Auf dem Campus, with further access to P2/P3 via Thomas-Fincke-Straße. P4 on Campusallee and P5 on Munketoft are listed as paid parking. Use the venue’s parking map to choose your approach; listed spaces are not a reservation.
Before you go: make the phone-free part easy
The Flensburg listing announces shows without cameras and smartphones in cooperation with Yondr. Prepare for the evening before reaching the entrance: open your ticket, check its admission instructions, and agree on a meeting place with anyone arriving separately.
- Ticket first: keep the authorized ticket format ready for scanning. If you want a paper copy, check that your ticket issuer permits one.
- Carry a physical payment card: it is a useful backup when your phone is unavailable.
- Keep the essentials on paper: hotel address, return route and a companion’s number take very little space.
- Pack lightly: check current arena entry rules before bringing a bag or camera equipment.
- Bring your listening priorities: pick two songs you particularly want to hear closely. You will have something to look forward to without needing to document every moment.
Choose your Flensburg shirt: clean black or a washed finish?
The standard black guitar tee above is the straightforward choice if you want the graphic to stand out. A dark overshirt, simple trousers and comfortable shoes let the yellow-and-red artwork carry the outfit. For more texture, the same Flensburg design comes on an acid-washed black shirt.
Our pick: solid black at US$20 for the clearest graphic and lower price; acid-washed black at US$34 for the textured finish. These are MerchReport store designs. Prices checked October 20; use the product page for sizing and delivery estimates before ordering for concert night.
You do not need a complicated concert outfit. Choose the shirt you would also wear after Flensburg, then add a removable outer layer for the journey. That makes the city-date artwork a wearable keepsake rather than a one-evening purchase.
