Rockhal · Friday, October 30, 2026 · Updated October 20
Bob Dylan closes his October run at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday, October 30. Doors to the Main Hall open at 18:30, and the show is phone-free. Our predicted setlist brings “Man in the Long Black Coat,” “Tangled Up in Blue” and songs from Rough and Rowdy Ways into the same evening.
This is a good date to plan around the train. Rockhal is a short walk from Belval-Université station, and Luxembourg’s domestic public transport is free in standard class. For fans travelling from abroad, the important detail is arranging the whole journey home, including the cross-border part, before putting the phone away.
Plan the Luxembourg journey from the return trip backward
Use Rockhal, 5 avenue du Rock’n’Roll, L-4361 Esch-sur-Alzette as your destination. The venue’s practical guide places Belval-Université station about a two-minute walk away and recommends public transport for busy concert nights.
If you are staying in Luxembourg
Look up your outward and return train or bus before you leave. Luxembourg’s free public transport covers domestic trains in standard class, buses and trams; first-class train travel is excluded. Keep the return departure and the name of your hotel stop on paper so the evening does not depend on a navigation app.
If you are crossing a border afterward
Check the international portion separately. The domestic free-fare arrangement does not make the whole trip from another country free. Pay attention to the final connection you need, the transfer between services and the journey from the arrival station to your actual destination.
Use CFL or Mobiliteit for current journey planning. Choose a return option with room for leaving the hall and dealing with the phone-free exit process. If your preferred connection leaves little margin, decide on a backup before travelling.
If you drive to Belval
Rockhal recommends the P+R CFL Belval-Université, close to the station and venue, with other parking nearby. Use the venue’s travel page to choose an approach and check current parking conditions. Save the car-park name and your parked location before entry; it is an easy detail to forget after a concert.
The Bob Dylan Rockhal setlist we predict
For the final October date, we favor the 18-song shape heard in Gothenburg on October 19. Here is our current forecast, prepared October 20.
- To Be Alone with You
- Man in the Long Black Coat
- It Ain’t Me, Babe
- Tryin’ to Get to Heaven
- False Prophet
- I Can Tell
- Black Rider
- Tangled Up in Blue
- When I Paint My Masterpiece
- Girl from the North Country
- Crossing the Rubicon
- Soon After Midnight
- Spirit on the Water
- Under the Red Sky
- I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You
- Goodbye Jimmy Reed
- I Shall Be Released
- Every Grain of Sand
How to listen across the decades
The predicted sequence puts songs from very different periods close together. “Girl from the North Country” and “Crossing the Rubicon,” for example, sat next to each other in Gothenburg. That makes the set interesting as a complete evening: the older material and recent writing can illuminate each other without a separate nostalgia section.
Before Rockhal, try a brief listening path through “Tryin’ to Get to Heaven,” “Soon After Midnight” and “I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You.” They appeared at both opening European shows and give you three useful points of recognition beyond the best-known titles. Leave time for “I Shall Be Released” too; it has been part of the late-show sequence at both.
The cover-song possibilities
Oslo on October 17 introduced Randy Newman’s “Louisiana 1927” and Guy Clark’s “Dublin Blues,” according to Dylan’s official report. Neither appeared in the following Gothenburg set. They remain the two most intriguing cover possibilities to know before this Luxembourg stop.
“I Can Tell” appeared at both shows, while Oslo also included “Share Your Love with Me” and “I’ll Make It All Up to You.” Those choices give the current run a broader songbook feel than a simple catalog checklist. If something unfamiliar arrives, stay with it; that discovery is part of the attraction.
Our closing-song pick
We expect “I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You,” “Goodbye Jimmy Reed” and “I Shall Be Released” to shape the final stretch, followed by “Every Grain of Sand.” That follows Gothenburg’s ending. “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” the Oslo closer, is our main alternative for the final slot.
Before you go: make the phone-free evening practical
The Rockhal event page identifies this as a phone-free show, with phones excluded from use in the Main Hall during the concert. Prepare the essentials before following the entrance team’s instructions.
Your pocket checklist
- Ticket: keep the correct admission format ready.
- Return journey: note the station, departure options and any cross-border connection.
- Payment: bring a physical card or cash; Rockhal’s general practical guide lists both for food and drinks.
- Companions: agree on a meeting point before going offline.
- Clothing: choose a removable outer layer for the trip and a comfortable base layer inside.
If you want dinner before entry, build it into the journey rather than leaving it until the last moment. Keep enough time to find the entrance, handle your ticket and settle in. You will get more from the opening songs if the final part of the trip has not been a rush.
Why the washed beige Rockhal tee is our pick
The Rockhal acid-washed retro typography tee has a different visual feel from the white Antwerp version: the mottled beige background makes the artwork sit more softly with brown, olive and charcoal layers. It is an easy choice if your wardrobe already runs toward warm neutrals.
The graphic draws on “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” while our predicted concert sequence centers on the recent European selections above. Choose the shirt for its design and its connection to the Rockhal date.
MerchReport lists it at US$34, checked October 20. Compare the measurements with a shirt you like, choose the size that suits how you intend to wear it, and check the delivery estimate for a concert-night order. The same design works as a keepsake once the trip is over.
