Ride Lonesome Tour · October 28, 2026 · Preview
Beck plays Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on October 28, bringing the Ride Lonesome Tour to Asheville for an evening built around atmosphere as much as familiar hooks. “In the Night,” “Paper Tiger” and “Lost Cause” are central listening picks; the louder Odelay and Guero material is more likely to gather toward the back of the night.

An Asheville forecast with room for the acoustic pocket
Recent shows have kept the subdued opening while changing the songs in its wake. Philadelphia added “Waking Light” and “Say Goodbye”; Boston featured “Cold Brains,” “Blue Moon” and the Korgis cover. Those are useful alternatives for Asheville because they are drawn from this tour, rather than a wish list assembled from Beck’s entire career.
The main prediction below keeps the repeated material at its center. The trickier choice is the encore: Philadelphia finished with “Debra,” Toronto’s second night with “Old Man,” and Boston with “True Love Will Find You in the End.” Give all three a listen, but do not expect a three-song encore combining them. They illustrate different ways Beck has been closing the show.

Why this is the forecast
Across the five checked shows—Detroit, both Toronto nights, Boston and Philadelphia—“In the Night,” “Paper Tiger,” “For Your Love,” “The New Pollution,” “Gamma Ray,” “Think I’m in Love,” “Lost Cause,” “Devils Haircut,” “Loser” and “Where It’s At” appear in each published set report. Those songs carry more weight here than any one night’s rarity. The middle order and encore change more freely.
Set evidence: Detroit, October 12 · Toronto, October 14 · Toronto, October 15 · Boston, October 17 · Philadelphia, October 18. The Boston article is a review with a reported setlist; the other lists are audience-contributed records. Research cutoff: October 23. Before you go: Thomas Wolfe Auditorium
Navigate to the auditorium, not a different arena show
The official event page identifies Thomas Wolfe Auditorium at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, 87 Haywood Street. Doors are listed for 7 PM and the event for 8 PM. Both support artists are named. Leave space in your plan for entry and finding your seat before the music begins.
Sort access and bags in advance
The center’s visitor guide prohibits large bags and backpacks and says prohibited belongings cannot be stored at entry. Travel light. The same guide currently says Thomas Wolfe Auditorium does not have elevator access; if stairs affect your plans, contact the venue’s accessibility team before the night rather than relying on the arrangements in its separate arena.
Use the current ticket and show instructions
HCCA uses mobile tickets, with hard tickets also available through its box office. Its general guide and individual event information should be checked together for any updated entry rules. Beck’s listing requires a ticket for ages two and up. For parking, follow the center’s linked Directions & Parking information and allow a separate buffer for the walk from your chosen lot. The show start is not a published headliner start.
A short listening plan before the show
For this date, add “Waking Light,” “Say Goodbye” and “Cold Brains” to the obvious pre-show playlist. They make the potential detours feel familiar without turning every interesting rarity into a prediction.
If you are new to Beck, start with the contrast between Odelay and Sea Change: one explains the rhythmic hooks, the other the quieter emotional pull. The current tour brings those impulses into the same evening. Beck’s official site has the current music and tour listings.
